Melvin Edward Bosser (February 8, 1914 – March 26, 1986) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Cincinnati Reds in 1945. The 31-year-old rookie right-hander was a native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In a total of 7 games he was 2–0 with 2 games started, 0 complete games, and 3 games finished. In 16 innings pitched he gave up 9 hits and walked 17. However, he allowed only 6 earned runs, so his final ERA was 3.38. Bosser died at the age of 72 in Crossville, Tennessee. He was interred in the Crossville City Cemetery in Crossville, Tennessee.
